The Charizard Lounge is Shutting Down

The Charizard Lounge is Shutting Down

As of today, The Charizard Lounge will cease production of any new content.

It has become apparent that Pokemon has no plans to make a Standard reprint of Vespiquen AOR, so there is just nothing left to write about.

On a more serious note, it feels as though the site has run its course and it’s time to move on and work on new things. It hasn’t been very fun for me to produce content on an island and I think I would find more joy in producing content as part of a team trying to build something bigger than the individual.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the site over the past seven years, especially those that went out of their way to support us on Patreon. Also, thank you to Conner, Cody, Olivia, John, Sydney, Colin, Brandon, and Evan for the articles they have written for the site.

As of now, there are no plans to take the website offline, so you will be able to continue to access the existing content on the site.

To keep up with my tournament updates, decklists, articles I write elsewhere, and any new projects that I start or become a part of related to Pokemon you can follow The Charizard Lounge from Twitter as these things will be posted there.

  1. Thank you for all you have contributed thus far to the Pokémon community, and good luck in whatever you do next hopefully we will see you on a team with others, making great, useful Pokémon news!!

  2. All I can say is “Wow…!”

This site has been an invaluable resource for my son and myself in our journey from “absolute noobs” to “slightly competent players” over the last year; the information and insights published here have time and again provided crucial “Where the BLEEP!!! do I even START…?” guidance for both of us.

It’ll be sad to see you go; while I’m sure there will still be some valuable user-generated content, it sure won’t be the same.

Thank you for making this place possible, and best of luck going forward!

As for twitter… I’m sorry, not a chance in h*** of us joining that cesspool; it’s a worse timesink than FB, and just as harmful.
